Published July 23, 2025

Twice a year, the PPC Geeks team swaps laptops and video calls for face-to-face fun, great food, and a chance to reconnect in person.

For our latest adventure, we gathered in Manchester – a city that never disappoints when it comes to energy, entertainment, and amazing eats.

This summer’s itinerary?

A nerve-testing challenge at The Cube, a delicious feast at Pupa Restaurant Charcoal Grill, and a nostalgic dive into retro gaming paradise at NQ64.

It was a day that reminded us all just how important these moments of real-world connection are for a remote team like ours.

Facing the Cube: A True Test of Focus and Nerve

Our main event took place at The Cube Manchester – a high-stakes environment that simulates the tense, adrenaline-fuelled challenges made famous by the TV show.

Split into teams and cheered on by our colleagues, we stepped inside The Cube to test our nerve, agility, and coordination.

What looked deceptively simple on screen proved to be a real mental and physical workout in person.

From precision-based tasks to challenges requiring serious, steady hands, the whole team gave it their all, with plenty of laughs, groans, and high-fives along the way.

These kinds of activities don’t just entertain – they also reinforce what we know to be true: that collaboration, calm under pressure, and mutual support are key ingredients to any success, both in The Cube and at PPC Geeks.

Refuelling at Pupa: Charcoal-Grilled Goodness

After putting our coordination to the test, it was time to reward ourselves. We headed to Pupa Restaurant – a charcoal grill spot that delivered big on flavour and atmosphere.

From freshly grilled meats to vibrant salads and authentic Mediterranean-inspired sides, the meal was a real treat. We tucked in, toasted the day so far, and caught up properly – not about KPIs or campaign performance, but about life, holidays, and everything in between.

Meals like this remind us that behind the screens and strategy sessions are real people who genuinely enjoy each other’s company.

And as always, good food and good conversation make the best pairing.

Game On at NQ64: A Trip Down Memory Lane

To wrap up the day, we made our way to NQ64 Manchester – a neon-lit haven of nostalgia tucked away in the Northern Quarter.

With a token in one hand and a drink in the other, we battled it out over Street Fighter, button-mashed our way through Guitar Hero, and took on the classics from Pac-Man to Mario Kart.

Whether you were racking up high scores or just trying not to get KO’d, the vibe was electric – a mix of fun, competition, and unfiltered laughter.

There’s something incredibly bonding about watching your teammates transform into ’90s arcade warriors.

Reflections on a Day to Remember

Days like this aren’t just about ticking off a social calendar – they’re about nurturing the culture that makes PPC Geeks so unique.

Our team may work remotely across the UK, but when we come together, the shared values of trust, collaboration, and a great sense of humour shine through.

From conquering The Cube to conquering burgers and beat-em-ups, this Manchester meetup gave us new memories, stronger bonds, and a whole lot of laughs.

"We have been working with PPC Geeks for around 6 months and have found Mark and the team to be very impressive. Having worked with a few companies in this and similar sectors, I rate PPC Geeks as the strongest I have come across. They have taken time to understand our business, our market and competitors and supported us to devise a strategy to generate business. I value the expertise Mark and his team provide and trust them to make the best recommendations for the long-term."
